Can you help me?. My hair is naturally curly all my life, now at 70 still curly still trying to get the hair cut I like. My mother cut my hair until I was about 14, at 14 I wanted to style it straight. Iron board and iron my hair after Orange juice size hair rollers... At 30 I decided i wanted to let my hair go natural. And honestly it is very likely perfect strangers compliment me on my curly hair.... I am trying to find a hair dresser to listen, my mother would get cardboard and measure out maybe a 5", 4", 3" and use that as she would cut our hair. She would put the cardboard to scalp then pull hair up to the end of cardboard and cut. I had this short curly layered style from 8 years old to 14. I had a hairdresser who did that cut for me about 15 years ago but he quit cutting, I can't find anyone...i want to cut my own hair... My mother cut her own hair in this same way.. I have looked at so many tutorials for over 10 years and this one is making sense to me.. Can you help me please,?????

This is the only video I found that made me think I could do this myself. I thought I had messed up and over estimated my abilities. I had, but it still worked out and looks great. I had a neurological injury a few years back and have been wearing a ponytail for years since my hands don't quite work right. Even with that, I still was able to follow your easy to understand instructions. I'm going to wear my hair down tomorrow for the first time in five years. Thank you. Where are you located? Can I just come to you and let you cut my hair?? Every time I go to get a V shaped cut with face framing layers I always end up unhappy because I find there aren't many people I've come in contact with that are capable of cutting extra long hair. I get my hair trimmed about 2 per year. The few times I've asked for this cut I don't get exactly what I want and I don't want any more length off so I don't even ask for anything else. I just go home and let it grow out and try another place next time.
